Annie is a beautiful Black Highland Angus cross who joined the sanctuary in January 2026 after her family made the difficult decision to surrender her when they had to move away from their farm. While saying goodbye was heartbreaking, their love for Annie led them to find her a place where she would continue to be safe, cared for, and cherished.

From the moment Annie arrived, it was clear that she has a personality all her own. She truly marches to the beat of her own drum, doing things on Annie's schedule and in Annie's way. Her independent spirit is part of what makes her so special, and she never fails to make us smile.

Although she's happy doing her own thing, Annie has a soft spot for her human caretakers. She absolutely melts when someone takes the time to give her a good scratch, happily soaking up every bit of affection. And if there's one thing that can always get Annie's attention, it's food! Whether it's fresh hay, tasty treats, or feeding time, Annie is always eager to see what's on the menu.

Today, Annie spends her days enjoying the peaceful life every cow deserves—grazing, relaxing with her herd, and reminding us that every rescued animal has a unique story and an even more unique personality. We're so grateful to be part of Annie's next chapter and can't wait for everyone who visits the sanctuary to fall in love with her just as we have.
